Congratulations to our Power-ful students during our first week of testing!
Families, please note: Tomorrow, Friday, April 19, is a scheduled half day for students. According to the most recent weather report, there is the potential for fog tomorrow morning. Should conditions in the early morning hours indicate the need for a delayed opening, the half day will be canceled and students will dismiss at their normal dismissal time.
(This information was also sent via email and phone call.)

A special shout out to our own Kaylie Mueller, Ellie Mills, and Brox Meisnner! All participated in this year's 45th Annual Junior All-Shore Band concert today at Easton High School. Keep making us proud!
Reminder, next week kicks off MCAP testing!
Mr. Lyles went on over to Preston Elementary to see some of our 6th Grade Boys playing ball! #ColonelPOWER
Let's close out this National Assistant Principals Week by lifting up our favorite Assistant Principal, Mr. Neil Lambert. With his 29 years of commitment to Caroline County Public Schools, all at the Colonels, he is a very familiar face in the community.
"Lambert" as parents, students, and faculty affectionately refer to him (sometimes with not so much affection if you're in trouble), still interacts with the students with the same energy and excitement of a new teacher. He cares so much about all of our students and wants the best for them...so much so, we bought him a kit so he can fix students' broken glasses (because in Middle School, glasses are always getting broken for some reason)!!
Happy AP's Week, Lambert, for being a teacher, coach, mentor, and dependable administrator! #BeAPowerPlayer #CarolineFamily #ColonelTough #APWeek24
The Central Office Artwork Gallery (also known as the main hallway) is showcasing artwork this month from #CRMSCougars, led by Art Teacher Lloyd Pinke. View the whole gallery on our Flickr page: bit.ly/3WaCxvW

Update 11:00 am: Phone service at all schools has been restored. Thank you for your patience!
DES, FES, PES, CRMS and CRHS Families: Please be advised we are experiencing phone service outage at the schools. Crews are on site and working to restore service. At this time, the school schedule is not impacted and the day is proceeding as planned. We will be updating this post as the situation changes. Thank you for your patience!
March is Music In Our Schools Month! To wrap up the celebration, we have a special treat to share the message of unity through music. The Colonel campus has the unique opportunity for vertical integration as choir director Erin Bradley teaches at both CRMS and CRHS. Earlier this month, she created an All-Colonel Choir and organized this video performance of Sisi Ni Moja (Swahili for "We Are One") by Jacob Naverud.
